Since 2017, the Brooklyn Raw Stars have led the efforts to infuse Brooklyn with the Raw styles of soccer

 

Our Mission

Brooklyn Raw Stars Soccer is a soccer club started by Coach Ibou in mid-July of 2017 shortly after the passing of his mother in June.

“I was inspired by the deep rooted memories of my mother’s nurturing during my early childhood days in the rough landscapes of Senegal. In Senegal, West Africa, the soccer culture is extremely different from what our kids are exposed to in the beautiful boroughs of New York. Brooklyn Raw Stars Soccer aims to showcase to kids the true dynamics of battling struggles on and off the field, being role models and leaders, and enjoying the sport soccer.”
